Meet Courtney
Courtney Beaman’s journey is as inspiring as it is adventurous. Growing up in Virginia Beach, VA, she developed a love for running early on, excelling in track and field during her high school years. Her drive for excellence led her to Indiana University, where she graduated with big dreams and an insatiable curiosity about the world.
After spending five years in Atlanta, Courtney took a leap of faith in 2019 and moved to Chicago, a city she now calls home. Beyond her professional success as a Senior Global Success Manager in tech, Courtney’s passions extend far beyond the office. She’s a world traveler who seeks out new experiences, cultures, and challenges. From hiking volcanic craters to watching the Northern Lights, she believes in living life to the fullest.
As a fitness enthusiast and frequent HYROX competitor, Courtney’s dedication to hybrid racing is unparalleled. She sees fitness not just as a personal passion but as a platform for empowerment. With a mission to inspire people of all backgrounds—especially young Black women—Courtney is determined to introduce hybrid racing to a more diverse audience. Her ambassadorial spirit and commitment to breaking barriers make her a role model for many.
Meet Bryant
Bryant Maxwell’s story begins on the west side of Chicago, where he grew up with a strong sense of community and a love for sports. From an early age, he showed a knack for athletics, running track, playing football, and stepping into the boxing ring at just five years old. This early exposure to discipline and determination set the stage for his future successes.
Bryant earned his degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he honed his communication skills and found his passion for storytelling. Later, he advanced his education at Harvard Business School, solidifying his expertise in strategy and leadership.
Professionally, Bryant is a creative powerhouse. As a communications director and strategist, he’s worked with some of the biggest names across industries. His love for boxing extended beyond the ring, leading him to manage public relations for some of the most significant boxing events of the past 15 years. Bryant’s creativity also brought him to the intersection of science and art, where he collaborated with NASA on an awe-inspiring immersive installation. Bryant has also partnered with Google in an effort to teach less fortunate kids how to code through story-telling.
Bryant is a man of many talents and accomplishments, but his greatest joy comes from the love and adventures he shares with Courtney and Jeremiah. Together, they’re building a life filled with laughter, exploration, and purpose.
How They Met
Their love story began with a swipe on a dating app, though it didn’t take off immediately. According to Courtney, Bryant liked her profile on Hinge but ignored her first message. In classic Courtney fashion, she deleted him.
Eight months later, fate brought them back together when Bryant re-liked her profile. This time, they started talking daily, and Bryant quickly moved to set up a coffee date. But Bryant, always thoughtful, pivoted their plans last minute to Tapas Valencia, knowing Courtney loved Spanish cuisine from her travels.
That first date was unforgettable, and their connection grew as they bonded over hiking, traveling, and fitness. What began as shared adventures blossomed into a deep and lasting love.
The Adventures Begin
Courtney and Bryant are partners in exploration, whether hiking Hawaii’s KoKo Volcanic Crater or traversing Alaska’s snowcapped mountains to witness the Northern Lights. Together, they’ve journeyed far and wide, creating memories that strengthen their bond.
Bryant’s son, Jeremiah, is also an integral part of their story. Courtney and Jeremiah have become besties, sharing a love for gaming (though Bryant wishes they’d pause the games for a movie night occasionally!).

What truly defines Courtney and Bryant’s love is their shared commitment to building each other up. They are best friends, adventurers, and unwavering supporters of one another. Both believed in true love, and against all odds, they found it in each other.
